The bottom line
proauthorist.com doesn’t track you, doesn’t show advertising and doesn’t use cookies.
Who runs this site
proauthorist.com is run by Kevin Martin, trading as Pitch Dark Studios, based in England.
When you visit
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like every web host, it briefly sees your internet address (a number that identifies your connection, a bit like a postal address for your computer) so it can send you the website pages, and to protect proauthorist.com from attacks.
- If you choose Light or Dark mode, that choice is remembered on your own device only. It never comes back to us.
The contact form
- If you send a message, your name, email address and message come to us by email. We only use them to reply to you, and they are never added to any list.
- To keep robots out, the contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible security check. Basically it’s here to tell people from robots. If you want to know more, Cloudflare explains all this in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Declared, as always
Proauthorism is about being open, and that goes for your information too. Everything this site does with it is set out above, and nothing is hidden. Your information is yours: if you’d like to know what we hold about you, or would like it deleted, just ask through the Contact page. And if you ever feel we haven’t looked after it properly, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) can help.
